‘Enchantment’ , dark green, Connemara marble, clear agate and sterling silver pendant, made in Ireland.

I’m always proud to incorporate local, Irish materials into my work when I can. No gemstone is more Irish than Connemara marble. Though a very traditional stone, my designs are modern and fresh. ‘Enchantment’ is a  contemporary, wire wrapped pendant, simple in form and timeless.

The stone was cut into a drilled disc by an expert Galway artisan.

I wrapped it neatly with a sterling silver pin, adding a sterling silver flower spacer and a clear agate bead. The bead has a beautiful forest green matrix that looks like mossy strands suspended in ice.  The bail and chain are stamped .925 sterling silver.

I was inspired to make this pendant after a hike in the Wicklow hills. Happy customers who have bought Connemara marble items from me have said the stone reminds them of the Irish countryside as seen from a plane above.  The marble feels comforting to wear and is essentially, a small piece of Ireland to carry with you.
